Born in 1941 in Laspezia, Gian Paolo Dulbecco starts painting around the age of 18, dedicating sometime to the etching. He gradueted in engineering. The first shows are located around the end '60s. In 1983 he painted the stations of the Cross for St. Gemma church in Monza and in 1984 he won a price for the Cartier collection. In 1992 he placed second in the national contest organized by "Arte". In the '90s he faced the theme of tarots and a selection about the tobacco's theme is included by the French critic P. Restany in the group show Art et tabac, itinerant in some European countries. In July 2002 the sopraintendenza of Salerno of cultural activities' Department patronizes an anthological show in Ravello with paintings from 1990 to 2002.
